What is Your Dream?

The first thing a person needs to do in order to follow a dream is to find out just what that dream is.  Do you know what your dream is?  For me, it is writing.  It also interacts with several other passions such as volunteering and encouraging both children and adults to think positive thoughts about themselves and follow their dreams.

If you don't already know what your dream is or if you're not completely sure, take a couple of days and think about it.  What do you love to do when you are alone?  I love to write.  What do you like to do around other people?  I like to share goofy little songs I've written or encourgae them to do something they like to do.  My sister and several of my friends are awesome singers and they can all tell you I keep telling them to try out for The Voice or simply record their own albums.

Sometimes a life-changing event can play a massive role in what a person's dream is.  I love volunteering with veterans because I have a family member who received a left-sided brain injury in Iraq. I like to play soccer with kids because I loved it as a child and even stepped in one season to coach when my daughter's coach stepped down so that we could still have a team.  I enjoy writing because I can share my feelings through poetry and exercise my very creative imagination through fiction.

If you are over 40, in your 50s, 60s or even older, don't despair.  You still have life in you.  What's that?  You wanted to be an actor at one time?  Go to your local theater group and get involved.  If you are a teenager, you're just getting started.  Please make sure, however, that you do communicate with your parents regarding all things online because they only have your best interests at heart, something you may not understand until you have a child of your own.

I love writing.  I have several books in editing mode, one already published and to me, it isn't about whether I make a best-seller list someday.  My Oscar Moment in Time is about family and friends liking what I write.  Now, some people may not like what you write or sing or which team you sign up with sportswise.  That's okay.  You will still get those "moments" and when you do, you will understand exactly what I am talking about.

Think about it for a few days.  What do you want to do?   What is your passion?  What is your dream?
